Community guidelines
Aimset is where shooters keep their training and share it with friends and clubs. These guidelines apply to everything you share in Aimset — your profile, your sessions and their notes, comments, clubs and competitions — and by using Aimset you agree to follow them and the Terms of use.
Keep it about training
Share your sessions, your progress and honest feedback, and encourage other shooters. Calibers, rings, groups, series, gear and ranges: that is what Aimset is for.
Treat people with respect
Comment on the shooting, not the shooter. No hate speech: nothing that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic.
No harassment or bullying. Don't target, intimidate or shame anyone, don't stalk anyone, and don't contact someone who has blocked you or asked you to stop.
Keep everyone safe
Never threaten to harm anyone, and post nothing that incites, glorifies or promotes violence or terrorism.
Nothing that promotes or encourages suicide or self-harm. If you or someone you know is struggling, contact a local crisis line.
No pornography or sexually explicit material. Anything sexual involving a minor is removed and reported to the authorities.
Be genuine
Don't impersonate another person, club or organization, or misrepresent who you are to deceive people.
Keep your results honest: don't falsify a score, a session or a leaderboard result.
No spam: no junk, scams, repetitive posting, malware or phishing links, or fake engagement.
Aimset is not a marketplace
Don't offer, ask for or arrange the sale, trade or transfer of firearms, firearm parts (receivers, barrels, slides, triggers), ammunition or reloading components, magazines, or restricted accessories (suppressors, auto-conversion devices, high-capacity magazines) — even where the sale would be legal. That includes deals, prices and links whose purpose is buying these items, and never instructions for making or converting them.
Talking about your gear, reviewing it and mentioning that a licensed dealer stocks something are all fine; listing it for sale is not. Unregulated range gear — bags, holsters, optics, targets, clothing — can be discussed and recommended freely.
Stay within the law
Post nothing unlawful, nothing that helps someone break the law, and nothing that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy.
Aimset is a training and scoring tool, not safety equipment. Firearm safety, range rules and the law are always your responsibility, as the Terms of use set out.
When a guideline is broken
Aimset has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Content that breaks these guidelines is hidden or removed, without a warning, and the account behind it can be banned. A banned account can no longer sign in, and the content it created is hidden.
If you see something wrong
Report it. Every post, comment, profile and club has a ⋯ menu: choose Report and pick a reason. Reports go straight to review, content reported by several people is hidden automatically, and the person you report is never told who reported them.
If you'd rather not deal with someone at all, block them from the ⋯ menu on their profile or on one of their posts. You then stop seeing each other's profiles, sessions, posts and comments, any friendship between you ends, and neither of you can comment on the other's posts or send the other a friend request or club invite. Settings → Safety → Blocked accounts lists everyone you've blocked and lets you unblock them.
Blocking changes only what the two of you see. If someone is breaking these guidelines, report them as well, so it is dealt with for everyone.
Appeals and questions
Settings → Safety → Moderation lists the decisions about your content. If something of yours was removed and you think that was wrong, you can appeal each removal once there.
For anything else — an account action, or a decision you still believe is wrong — email support@aimset.app. The same address takes any question about content, safety or these guidelines, and Report a problem in Settings → Account reaches us too.
